Brothers:

I am pleased to announce that the amended version of HB 1828, which the PPFFA worked on, adapted and fought for, has passed the Pennsylvania Senate with a vote of 32 to 17.

The vote was a clear result of the political activity of our membership.  The PPFFA Executive Board, Trustees and Staff worked endless hours on the legislative process that brought the bill from a piece of legislation that would have decimated our pensions to a labor friendly vehicle to assist our municipalities and protect our pensions.  Clearly, this victory would not have been possible without your efforts and the efforts of our members, their families and friends.  In the near future we will get more information on the PPFFA web site about the vote.  Please feel free to contact me or any of the PPFFA Officers or Trustees for more information.
